Second to tuna, salmon is the most consumed fish in the world.

FARMED SALMON farming started in the 1960s and has grown substantially, with 70% of all salmon produced worldwide is farmed. Salmon aquaculture is the fastest growing food production system in the world. Farmed salmon occurs in colder waters, in large suspended nets in the middle of fjords in areas that include Cile, Norway, Scotland, Canada, and Faroe Islands.

Farmed salmon is available year round with average sizes ranging from 10-15# whole.

Farmed salmon has a milder flavor than wild salmon. The flesh ranges from pink to orange and is high in Omega Fatty Acids.

Most Salmon is farmed. ALASKA is WILD but runs only in the summer months.

For WILD SALMON Requirements like size limits, season lengths, and harvest quotas for commercial salmon fisheries vary year to year and are driven by science. This allows us to sustainably harvest as many salmon as possible while preventing overfishing and harmful impacts to listed species. It also allows populations to rebuild.

All farmed salmon is Available year round. ALASKA is open all summer.
